FAMILIES turned out in their droves for Cleveleys Jubilee Weekend which made a welcome return after three years.
Jubilee Gardens was packed with thousands of jubilant revellers, both young and old, enjoying the sound of local bands and artists.
There was also a fun fair for youngsters as well as art and craft stalls next to the Vue Cinema.
Tracy Ferguson, 34, of Knowle Avenue, Cleveleys, said: "It's great. There seems to be something for everybody. My son is on the skate park and I've taken my daughter on some of the rides."
The weather held off for most of the weekend to allow acts, including belly dancers and martial arts experts, and bands such as The Devines to take to the stage.
Band members from The Devines, Ben Swift, 17, James Moores, 18, Jake Powell, 17, and Joe Packman, 17, said the event was a great opportunity for them to perform in front of an audience.
James Moores, from Bispham, said: "It's really good - there's been a mixture of young and old. It brings something positive to Cleveleys."
Cleveleys Jubilee Day was put on hold while regeneration works took place in the town – but now it's back and bigger and better than ever, according to Peter Wills, chairman of Cleveleys Seafront Partnership.
He said: "It dates back to 1923 but with the development of the gardens and the promenade it hasn't happened for three years.
"The Seafront Partnership pledged to re-instate it, but we decided to make it a weekend instead of just a day.
"There's been something for everyone from beat boxers, bands and DJs, to a jazz evening and belly dancers. The RNLI also brought their boats for people to have a look at.
"We wanted to engage the community from young people to pensioners.
"It's been fantastic. There's probably been around 4,000 people – it's gone really well."
