Blackpool's Bloomfield Road derby match against Preston North End has been switched.
The clash, which ended in a 0-0 draw last season, has been moved from Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, November 16, with 1pm kick-off.

The change has been made on police advice.

Pool's youth team fixture against Chester City which was due to have been played at Myerscough College this morning was called off because of the weather.

>> Watch an extended video interview with former Pool striker Andy Morrell as he looks back on his time at Bloomfield Road.

Spav is obviously a clown. It is bound to be Brown or Elliott.

I reckon a Mellor hat-trick and Brown plus Elliott wityh a brace each, with The Beast to get one too. That makes 8, which beats Blackpool's record defeat, which coincidentally, is 7-0 to PNE ;-)

Bristol Keith - I think we will do the double over them this season, probably with a big win at Deepdale next Spring to cap it off; but our record defeat is 0-7 and it was to Blackpool - in the days of hob nailed boots and heavy leather casies. When we beat them now we tend to make it a thumper though (e.g. Eyresey's thunder free kick which opened the floodgates agianst them when we won the 3rd Div Championship (1999 -2000). They went down that season -history could repeat itself I think.

What everybody needs to remember here is that although this was a bad day at the office for the pool no points that matter were either gained nor lost.

If this was a case of losing out on 3 points to them lot up the road in a Championship league match then I would be concerned!

Definatley over the top reporting from the Gazette- "star studded Blackpool side" ! Not exactly ringing true is it!

This season has a long way to go yet and if this result gets North End fans excited then I worry for your seasons expectations!

Never mind star-studded Pool side, the 7-1 defeat was by Preston's "development squad" - that means youth team! I think this was one to be ashamed about chaps.

Oh so the Police are of the opinion they run football again ?

If people want to cause trouble, time won't be an issue. Are all the pubs going to be closed after the game then ? - er probably not.
