Crowds greet Lifeboat Day parade of boats
Crowds turned out for the popular fund-raising bash for the port’s RNLI, which also included shore-side stalls.
The parade comprised around 30 yachts from Fleetwood Marina, colourfully dressed up in fluttering bunting, and Lifeboat vessels from Lytham, Blackpool, Barrow and Fleetwood.

The Mayor of Wyre, Coun Terry Lees, was among a small group invited to sail out on the Lifeboat, along with Coun Ruth Duffy, Wyre Labour leader.
Coun Duffy said: “What is remarkable about the Lifeboat crews is that they are all volunteers, yet they are willing to go out in all weather and at all times because they care.
“It was an unforgettable experience, going out in the Lifeboat.
“I’m delighted they get so much support in Fleetwood.”
