A MAN accused of cocking a gun and pointing it at a neighbour's head in Staining has made his first appearance at court.
Brian Hindle, 27, of Chain Lane, Staining, is charged with possessing an air pistol with the intent to cause Alan Davies to believe that violence would be used against him and others.

Hindle is also accused of threatening to kill Mr Davies on Tuesday.

Suzanne Sanders, prosecuting, asked for the case to be sent straight to crown court.

Hugh Pond, defending, said his client categorically denied possessing a gun or threatening anyone.

Blackpool magistrates sent the case direct to Preston Crown Court.

Hindle was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear at the higher court on October 30.
