THE Seasiders may have resumed training yesterday but up the road in Fleetwood the hard pre-season graft is already up and running.
Twice-weekly training sessions are in full swing at Fleetwood Town as they build up to their toughest challenge ever following promotion from the Unibond League to the Blue Square North.

Town's Highbury ground is undergoing major redevelopment ready for the club's first campaign in the second tier of non-league football, and training is taking place in the adjacent Memorial Park.

And new signings like Simon Garner are already getting into the Fleetwood routine.

The team will make their debut in Blue Square League Cup away to Harrogate Town.

The first round match in the competition, known as the Setanta Shield, will take place in the week beginning Monday, September 8.

A number of Blue Square Premier clubs will enter the competition in round two.
