A bin fire was put out crews before it spread to a nearby gate this morning.

Two fire engines and crews, from Bispham and Cleveleys, were called to an 'external storage area' in Victoria Road West, Cleveleys, shortly before 8am, a spokesman for the fire service said.

"The fire was about to burn a wooden gate and firefighters used a hosereel jet to extinguish it," he added.

"There were no casualties. The cause of the fire is to be established."
